A very old "Up to Date" hohner harmonica, I believe this is previous to the 1896 patent, thus the sentence "patent applied for". It' a "half concert" model, which means it has a wooden comb in the style of the octave models (like Autovalve Harp) but has only one reed per slot. Came in it's original box also in superb condition.

Yours looks a lot like the one we inherited from my father-in-law. Ous is "The Up to Date" Very Best Tremolo Concert Harp No. 46 1/2 made by M. Hohner, Germany. Patent date 1857. In it's original light brown box. Have you had your appraised? Wondered what it might be worth. Thanks.
