Price : US $6.99
This small Chinese harmonica probably dates to the 1960s and comes in its original cardboard box. The core is lacquered wood that is sandwiched between two plates of brass, with sheets of very shiny stainless steel fastened to the top and bottom. The brand shown on the harmonica and the box is ''Hero'', rendered in Chinese hanzi (we don't speak Chinese, but the kanji read in Japanese would be ''Eiyuu'', or ''Hero'', also) and English.
This harmonica seems to have seen very little if any use. There are no scratches anywhere, and the lacquer is bright and fully intact, although there are a few smudges and some tarnishing of the brass. All of the apertures produce sound, but since we're not musicians we can't say anything about its quality.
The box is fully intact and in good shape but shows some wear on the outside.
Measures about W4'' (101mm) X H3/4'' (18mm) at the widest part of the back X D1 1/16'' (27mm).
