Up for auction is a
5F2H harmonica amplifier; the configuration is a bit different from the standard kit. The cab is a new Deluxe (5E3) cab built by Weber VST
with a 5F2 chassis cutout, snakeskin tolex with black grille cloth… never
gigged. The speaker is a well-broken-in 8-ohm 12” alnico Mojotone MP12R. The
chassis was built from a kit from Weber VST by Adam Palow of Tungsten Amplification
and includes a line-out for amplification through a PA, Shuguang Premium KT-66
power tube, Weber GZ-34 rectifier copper cap, and 12AX7 RCA preamp tube. Weber VST
power and output transformers. I will include a TAD 6L6 that you can sub in for the KT-66 if you like.

As you can see from the
pix, Adam’s work is top-notch & very clean (Adam was heavily involved in
Harpgear amps production, at least early on to my knowledge).

The 5F2H is considered
a mid-sized amp, 12-15 watts or so. The original design by Bruce Collins of
Mission Amps (see http://www.missionamps.com/harpstuff.shtml)
was changed subsequently by Weber VST in putting together the kit. I think the
amp kicks, but don’t just take my word for it,

One of my favorite
medium harp amps is actually a kit from Weber: The 5F2H is an
exceptional harp amp using a single KT66 power tube (a relative to the 6L6) and
my favorite harp speaker, the Weber 10A125-0. It generates about 22 watts of
power and has one of the warmest, round
